Show Time

Crystal and Sy did the Novice Level CT (the highest CT test of the show) and Livy and Pendy premiered with a solid ride at Intro Test B, earning 2nd place at the Hope Have Dressage and CT show today. I was the judge but showed no favoritism as both riders put in good performances and earned their scores. In the photo, Livy and Pendy watch intently as Crystal and Sy get ready for the jumping phase. 100_4713

Grey pony #3

Welcome to Sterling, a 5 year old, 14.1 hand gelding being leased by Pam M. and Christine. Of unknown heritage, Sterling’s conformation reminds me of a Friesan – uphill, square, solid legs with feathers, easy going disposition, an amazing walk, and three good gaits. Except that he is the wrong color and too short. And he’s not talking. But we look forward to testing his mettle in dressage and eventing.

Welcome Jenn and Mocha

We had to say good-bye last month to Jetta who moved back to Florida and to Metro who was euthanized due to the ravages of EPM. Our condolences to Janice H. on the death of her horse. The departures left room at the farm for Mocha, an 11 year old OTTB Gelding owned by Jennifer Brown. He came the end of May and has been such a great addition. He’s easy to work around and great as a dressage lesson horse. He’s Hattie’s new boy toy as they are pasture mates and getting along great. Welcome Jenn and Mocha. Mocha1
