Congratulations Tori

Tori Templeton competed at the LowCountry Dressage Show this past weekend on Katie Poag’s horse Freewind. She earned 62.9% and third place at First-1, 72.5% and second place at First-2, and 63.8% and 66.7% on two First Level Test Three rides. This show was Tori’s first time ever riding First Level and we are very proud of her. She has set herself a goal of qualifying for Juniors as soon as she turns 14 this summer and we believe she is well on her way.

Welcome Lara and Z

One Tempi Farm wishes Missy Powers the best as she enjoys motherhood eventhough it meant sending Scooter and Winston back to her mothers. In their stead, we are happy to welcome Lara Warren and her very handsome gelding Z to the farm. Z, whose real name is Glynmagic Silver Zephyr is a purebred Welsh Mountain Pony bred by Lara’s mother. He’s a mini warmblood with the disposition and gaits to excel in dressage. Soon he will join Pendy in the “gray pony” pasture!100_4423

Successful Ride-a-Test Clinic/Show

Hope Haven Farm hosted a successful Ride-a-Test clinic and show last Saturday. As the judge and clinician, I was impressed with the event’s organization, the grounds were lovely and the riders all presented very nice horses with good potential for dressage. They ranged from Intro Level to upper First Level and each rider was so receptive to my suggestions on how to improve their rides. Hope Haven is planning additional clinic/shows in March and April
